Nowhere. Everything happens in your browser using Squoosh-style WebAssembly codecs (MozJPEG, libwebp, PNG) — your files are read into memory, compressed locally, and offered back as downloads. No image data leaves your device.
WebP (best modern compression), JPEG (universal), PNG (lossless, great for graphics), or Same to keep the original format. SVG files rasterize to your chosen format (WebP/JPEG/PNG); pick Same to keep them as SVG. Download one file or the whole queue as a ZIP. Use max dimension to control output size.
No hard limit. Practically, the queue is bounded only by your device's memory. A few hundred photos at a time works comfortably on a mid-range laptop.
For lossy formats (WebP, JPEG) the quality value is passed to the WASM encoders (same family as Squoosh) — higher means less aggressive compression, larger files, and fewer visible artifacts. PNG is lossless, so quality is ignored.
Yes. The interface adapts to small screens and you can drop or pick images from your photo library. Heavy batches may take longer on phones.
